Cellometer® Automatic Cell Counter - How Does it WorkCellometer® automatic cell counting principle is based on imaging cytometry. Cells in suspension are spread into a thin layer of liquid, as in a traditional hemacytometer. Cellometer® Cell Counters, connected to a computer via USB cable acquire cell image from multiple locations of a Cellometer® disposable hemacytometer. Cellometer® software automatically analyzes acquired cell images and measures cell concentration and cell size. Viability and live cell concentration are measured using trypan blue exclusion dye. Cell Counting Steps: 1, 2, 3
