Position Summary:

We are seeking a Manufacturing Operations Lead responsible for supporting the Production and Logistics Manager across the production process from sales order through shipping. Activities will include purchasing, inventory, production, quality and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Production & Logistics Manager as an additional “go-to” resources during production activities to ensure adherence to ethics and safety procedures
  • Motivates the team to enhance production quantity and at the same time maintain high production standards
  • Participate and/or run morning huddles with production and logistics teams
  • Supports the Production & Logistics manager to ensure that products are manufactured to meet quality standards for customers and all work materials are available as needed
  • Check finished products to ensure quality prior to shipment, provide corrective action guidance for inadequate processes in order to improve flow and efficiency
  • Evaluate manufacturing equipment for safety and functionality
  • Ability to extract information to generate reports using data retrieved from database(s)
  • Keep records of team attendance, productivity and other activities in support of the Production & Logistics Manager
  • Keep records of equipment, budgets, deliveries, and supplies, and make them available to management for evaluation
  • Partner with the Manager to create work schedule for workers and ensure that they strictly adhere to; take attendance to ensure regularity and promptness of workers to duty
  • Support the Manger as a “player-Coach” to ensure healthy communication. Escalate issues as necessary
  • Partner with manager and across organization to ensure timely execution of departmental and cross-functional projects and deliverables
  • Serve as an additional liaison to other departments to ensure on time execution, effective and efficient processes and a high degree of communication

Qualifications

  • An associates or BS degree in Business Operations Management
  • 1-2 years of experience with biopharmaceutical equipment or manufacturing strongly considered
  • Microsoft office and/or Google Apps, specifically Excel/sheets, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Basic understanding of ISO 9001 and what is required to comply
  • Understanding of process mapping and process control
  • Strong people skills and must be able to work in a group/team environment.
