Product Insert: Cell Fitness Panel for Cellaca MX

Download the Product Insert ViaStain™ Cell Fitness Panel for Cellaca MX CSK-V0024-1 The Cell Fitness Panel Kit is designed for researchers interested in acquiring data on cell sample health and quality. Many samples in cellular therapy, immunotherapy, and cell line development, are by their nature unique and precious. Patient-derived primary samples are often comprised of a heterogeneous cell population and display a wide range of physiological behaviors. Whether these samples underwent a freeze/thaw cycle, or cell isolation procedure, or have been cultured within a bioreactor for an extended period, the Cell Fitness Panel is used to assess not only the wellbeing [...]

Product Insert: ViaStain Dead Cell Nuclear Dyes

Download the Product Insert ViaStain™ Dead Cell Nuclear Dyes CS1-V0012-1 (Bright green dye)CS1-V0013-1 (Bright red dye)CS1-V0014-1 (Bright far-red dye)CS1-V0015-1 (Bright blue dye) Dead Nuclear Dye:In this viability assay, the total number of dead cells are identified by staining the cells with Dead Nuclear dye. These dyes are membrane impermeable and only enters the dead (membrane compromised) cells, where upon entry it binds to DNA in an intercalating manner. After staining the cells, the Celigo instrument can scan, analyze and report the number of dead cells on a per well basis. Learn more about Proliferation/Tracer Reagents

Product Insert: ViaStain Total Cell Nuclear Dyes

Download the Product Insert ViaStain™ Total Cell Nuclear Dyes CS1-V0008-1 (Bright green dye)CS1-V0009-1 (Bright red dye)CS1-V0010-1 (Bright far red dye)CS1-V0011-1 (Bright blue dye ) Total Nuclear Dye:The total number of nucleated cells are identified by staining the cells with total Nuclear Dye. This is a live DNA binding agent that is membrane permeable and is used to identify all nucleated cells. After staining the cells, the Celigo instrument can scan, analyze and report the number of total cells on a per well basis. Learn more about Proliferation/Tracer Reagents

Product Insert: ViaStain CMFDA

For additional documentation please contact support at support@nexcelom.com ViaStain™ CMFDA CS1-P0001-1 ViaStain™ CMFDA (5-Chloromethylfluorescein diacetate) is chemically same molecule as CellTracker™ Green CMFDA (trademark of Invitrogen). CMFDA is a cell-permeable, non-fluorescent compound. Upon crossing the cell membrane, it is rapidly hydrolyzed by cellular esterases inside live cells converting it from a non-fluorescent to a strongly green fluorescing dye. Upon hydrolysis, the more hydrophilic CMFDA is trapped inside the cell until cell division. Upon cell division, approximately half of the fluorescent label is passed onto the daughter cell. After each successive cell division, the fluorescent intensity of the dye is reduced [...]

Product Insert: ViaStain Tracer Blue

For additional documentation, please contact support at support@nexcelom.com ViaStain™ Tracer Blue CS1-P0003-1 The Tracer Blue is designed to uniformly label live cells in the blue fluorescence channel. The non-fluorescing blue dye crosses intact cell membranes and is then converted from non-fluorescent to a strongly fluorescing blue dye. The more hydrophilic fluorescent molecules are trapped inside the cells with intact membranes making the dye ideal for multi-day cell tracking. Product Insert: ViaStain CFSE

For additional documentation, please contact support at support@nexcelom.com ViaStain™ CFSE CS1-P0002-1 Nexcelom ViaStain™ CFSE is a cell-permeable, non-fluorescent compound. Upon crossing the cell membrane, CFSE is rapidly hydrolyzed by cellular esterases inside live cells converting it from a non-fluorescent to a strongly green fluorescing dye. CFSE then covalently binds to intracellular proteins, making it a good candidate for multi-day cell labeling. Upon cell division, approximately half of the fluorescent label is passed onto the daughter cell. After each successive cell division, the fluorescent intensity of the dye is reduced by half and the staining appears proportionately dimmer. The dye becomes [...]

Product Insert: ViaStain Calcein AM

Download the Product Insert ViaStain™ Calcein AM CS1-0119 Calcein AM (Calcein acetoxymethyl ester) is a cell permeable, non-fluorescent compound. Upon crossing the cell membrane, calcein-AM is rapidly hydrolyzed by cellular esterases inside live cells. The hydrolysis cleaves the AM group, converting the non-fluorescent calcein AM to a strongly green fluorescing calcein. Because the created calcein is more hydrophilic it is trapped inside the cells with intact membranes. Cells that do not possess active cytoplasmic esterases are unable to convert calcein AM to calcein, and therefore do not fluoresce green. This allows for a quick and easy detection of metabolically-active cells [...]

Product Insert: ViaStain PI Cell Cycle Kit

Download the Product Insert ViaStain™ PI Cell Cycle Kit (for Cellometer K2, Vision CBA, and Spectrum) CSK-0112 Cell CycleThe process of DNA replication and cell division is known as the Cell Cycle. The cell cycle is typically divided into five phases: G0, the resting phase, G1, the normal growth phase, S, the DNA replication phase, G2, involving growth and preparation for mitosis, and M, mitosis. There are at least two types of cell cycle control mechanisms. The first involves kinase activation to relay a cell from one stage to the next. The second is a type of checkpoint control by [...]
