The automated cell counter that changes everything

With the new Cellaca MX High-throughput Automated Cell Counter you can now count up to 24 samples in 48 seconds using trypan blue or in 2.5 minutes with fluorescence.

Your workflow will be streamlined and more efficient when you integrate the Cellaca MX with these capabilities:

  • Batch samples in 24 well microplates for cell count and viability
  • Analyze cell lines or primary cells like PBMCs, T cells and tumor digests
  • Maintain cell integrity and minimize sample depletion during processing
  • Incorporate robotics with API compatible instrument
  • No instrument fluidics to maintain

Analyze low-volume primary cell samples

Cellaca MX only needs 25 μL of cells, so you can analyze tumor biopsy tissue, mouse splenocytes, tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) and more.

Count only the cells you’re looking for

Use brightfield to check viability. Use fluorescence when you need specific details on cell health – tissue debris and red blood cells won’t artificially change your count.

Brightfield and fluorescent images of PBMCs. In brightfield, white blood cells, platelets, and red blood cells are seen. Nuclear fluorescent staining using both green and red channels accurately identifies only the white blood cells.

You don’t have to limit your experimental design

Automated cell counters that require a lot of hands on time with constant reloading of slides or that have the ability to only run in small batches can mean restricting the number of samples to be processed at a time and therefore set limitations on your experimental design. With the Cellaca MX Automated Cell Counter you can run 24 samples at a time in 2.5 minutes or less, allowing you to expand the number of samples that can be counted in a fraction of the time.

High accuracy at fast speeds

Cellaca’s ability to consistently image, decluster, and report cell viability and concentration make it a versatile instrument that can be used in multiple workflows.

In an experiment, multiple users over four independent experiments were able to yield sample to sample variability for trypan blue stained CHO cells of less than 7% CV with a total of 1,992 samples counted (Figure 1). Cellaca’s high speed imaging and data reporting allowed the researchers to complete 83 plates in under 70 minutes.

Consistent Counting (< 7% CV) of Trypan Blue Stained CHO Cells Over Multiple Experiments

Count once and done

Cellaca MX results are highly reproducible and linear across a 2-log cell concentration range. You’ll also get consistent counts across systems, labs and users. That means you can run a sample once and know you’ve got the right result the first time.

Cellaca Dilution Factor Data
Serial dilution of Jurkat cells from 1.8E+07 to 1.8E+05 cells/mL analyzed on Cellaca MX. Counts were linear across the entire concentration range with CVs <2.4% for mean cell concentrations of 1.6E+07 cells/mL or higher, and <0.7% for 1.2E+07 cells/mL and below (n=9).

“The Cellaca MX has dramatically reduced sample processing time for our ex vivo preparations.  What used to take us 5 people and 7 hours, now takes us only 3 people and 4 hours to process the samples, count the cells and plate them for downstream assays.  Not only has the Cellaca MX saved us time and increased our efficiency, but it also has improved our sample quality.  Cells no longer sit on ice waiting to be counted, making the data output for our proteomic, genomic, and flow cytometry applications more accurate.”

“Scientific Directors approved [Cellaca] … they will get an approval from Dr. Allison and then we can move forward with this purchase. I am so happy!!!”
