I would like to validate that my Cellometer is functioning properly by utilizing the Check Validation Bead Solution (CCBM). Which values should I pay attention to on the Certificate of Analysis, and what do they refer to?

The Certificate of Analysis (or CoA for short) contains a lot of useful information. Most of values are ranges as opposed to discrete values. You’ll want to ensure that your results for the bead check fall inside the ranges listed for “Concentration” and “Specification: % Green FL Beads”. The “Concentration” range refers to the overall concentration of the beads, whereas the “Specification: % Green FL Beads” refers to the concentration of green flourescent beads. These represent the “live” population of cells.
