Cellometer Fluorescent Viability Cell Counters
Nexcelom’s fluorescent viability cell counters take our bright field imaging systems to the next level with fixed single or dual fluorescent optics modules. This allows researchers to use fluorescent stains to determine viability easily, without the need to perform RBC lysis. The Cellometer Auto 2000 automated cell counter provides an all-in-one touch-screen solution for PBMC counting while the Cellometer K2 is optimized for complex primary samples such as hepatocytes. The Cellometer X1 and X2 automated cell counters have higher magnification for use with small cells such as yeast and platelets.
I like the cell images with AO/PI dye. When a cell line didn’t have GFP protein just looking at the images I could tell that there was something wrong with it. I have compared it [Cellometer Auto 2000] with a hemacytometer and they are comparable while Vi-Cell was not.
The Auto 2000 is extremely useful for our laboratory. We use one a lot of times during our day. Cellometer helps do experiments much faster than before.
The X2 has allowed us to increase throughput in our QC lab while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, eliminating much of the inter-operator variability associated with manual cell counting. The time savings and repeatability are tremendous, and the increased confidence in our cell counts in priceless!
I love my Nexcelom X2 Cellometer! It allows me to quickly measure yeast viability in my lab and for my customers! No more tedious counting yeast cells under the microscope via methylene blue.
Cellometer K2 is very compact, reliable and easy to use. Our lab uses this counter to count live and dead cells for our experiments. It is a very good alternative to flow cytometer for cell cycle and apoptosis studies.
[Cellometer] K2 allows us for a faster, reliable and more accurate cell counts that our lab uses so frequently. The process itself is simple and intuitive compared to the other machine we used to have. Such a great improvement!
